Kate is actively exploring and contributing to movements for just economies and cities — and testing out public art on the side.
She has spent much of the last decade teaching, learning, and contributing to efforts around public markets, waste management, and grounded innovation. She co-founded MIT CREATE, a program in designX within the MIT School of Architecture and Planning, to support collaboration and action in the transformation towards social justice within our cities. Through Build Up, she is involved with the US-based work on depolarization through social media, the fellowship programs, and team care.
